Dr.
Mathes has been serving the Mid-Maine area since 1987. He
received his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic
in Davenport, Iowa in 1986, and also holds a B.S. degree
in biology from the State University of New York at Stony
Brook. Dr. Mathes is currently a member of the Maine Chiropractic
Association and the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce. He has
previously served on the Board for both organizations.
Dr. Mathes is one of the few doctors in the mid-Maine area
who holds an Advanced Proficiency Certification in Activator
Methods, a low force adjusting technique. He also received
Certification in Herbal Medicine from the University of
Colorado - School of Pharmacy and Western States Chiropractic
College, and is a Fellow of the Acupuncture Society of America
(FASA). Dr. Mathes is certified in Chiropractic Acupuncture
by the state of Maine.
In addition, Dr. Mathes has completed numerous post-graduate
courses in whiplash injuries, therapeutic nutrition, diagnostic
imaging and occupational health.
Dr. Mathes received the Presidential Award from the Maine
Chiropractic Association in 1999, 2000, and again in 2002.
